Grill version 2.0

Alright, I confess my abdication when it comes to this blog. I set it up but really Christine does all of the posting. I've thought about getting involved, but I am constantly told how people like her so much more than me, so I try not to mess things up. Until now.

A girl pictures herself at her wedding. A guys pictures himself on the back deck, with an awesome grill, while his cute kids run around and play. Well, I now have a cute kid (she's working on the running around part), and because of the generosity of Kayla, Tim and my parents, I have an awesome grill. Not just any grill, it's a Weber.

Please feel free to make this picture the background on your computer.

Admire that sweet Weber action.

I am happy.

Playing with Colson

KeriAnn and Colson Rumrey came over yesterday, and Colson was very generous with all of his monster trucks, etc. that he brought with him; I think Maggie appreciated it.

Laughter

We went over to our neighbors (the Rumreys) to borrow a movie, and while we were chatting, Maggie started giggling, and she just kept laughing for about 10-15 seconds. It was the most adorable thing that we have ever heard, and now we will be trying to get another laugh out of her since we have seen what she can do.

Maggie's Room

Her door,
The guest bed, and amazing rocker from Grandma Marsha,
the changing table-we are still looking for some cute bins or baskets to help us keep her clothes organized, and curtains to cover those vertical blinds.
And here is where she sleeps, with her humidifier and frog.

Our super cool new grill:

We got an early Christmas present from Sam's family this week. We think it is pretty incredible, and we know we don't deserve such an amazing grill, but we sure are excited to try it out, and become expert barbequers.

Cousin Time

Here is Maggie with her cousin Ridley. Ridley always gets very excited whenever Maggie is around, we are looking forward to when they can play together.

New Tricks

Maggie does not like tummy time, so she hasn't held her head up while on her tummy, but this morning she did...
but she still doesn't like it.
She prefers to sit up, she is very independent for an almost twelve week old.

Maggie has been sitting up with assistance for the past two weeks, and really wanting to for the last week, so I thought I'd try her in her Bumbo-she loved it, and she did great!

Holding her pacifier and Cousin Ridley

Maggie now fits (almost) into her jeans so I took a picture. She is also starting to hold onto things (like her pacifier), but I don't think she does it on purpose yet.
Here is Maggie's cousin Ridley in front of some pumpkins-we went on a nice fall walk with Nanette, Aunt Melodie and the boys.

Swinging...

Maggie loves her swing, and the beautiful music that it plays. The other night she was a little fussy so we put her in the swing and turned the music on and she gave us a big smile.

Me and Mags

Here she is making a funny face.

All bundled up

We went for a walk the other day (it was pretty cold and cloudy), so I bundled Maggie up and we braved the wind and clouds...

Scooting Around

Yesterday Maggie managed to scoot herself almost in a complete circle on her mat, solely by rolling onto her side...

A few of my favorite things:

-When Maggie wakes up happy, and gives me the sweetest smile when I go get her.
-When I pick Maggie up and she stretches in my hands: she arches her back, moves her head side to side, throws her arms above her head, her hands in fists, and pokes out her little bottom, and makes little squeaks.
-Watching her smile to herself. I guess she is amusing herself with little jokes...
-Bathtime!
-Her evening content, talkative time. She will stare at you and goo and coo and blow bubbles; we have wonderful conversations, and she especially likes talking to her papa!
-Margaret's little legs kicking excitedly as she plays on her activity mat and stares at her reflection or her little cardinal.
-That puff of red hair, and the velvety new hair that is growing in.
-Her hands, and their feminine, delicate movements. She is now grabbing my fingers-which makes snapping her outfits a little trickier, but I welcome the new challenge!
-I even love her yells. She yells at us when she is hungry, or bored, she doesn't usually cry unless she is really mad...which she will be if I don't feed her now!

Fall Foliage...

Maggie and I went on a walk and I thought I should post some pictures of the beautiful fall leaves we have here in Moscow; I am always trying to lure family and friends out here...I thought this might help...

Sunday Picnic

We went to the park for a picnic with the Olps family after church on Sunday. The weather was perfect, and Maggie and Peter got to hang out on the blanket for a minute.

Sleep!

Last night Margaret Marie slept from 10:30-6:00! I woke when Sam's alarm went off, and was happily surprised that I hadn't gotten out of bed... I hope she keeps this up.
P.S. Check out Maggie's fluff of red hair-it shows up pretty well against the pink!

pink on pink

Here are some pictures from Maggie's photo shoot yesterday. She was looking too cute, so I took way too many pictures of her, but they are all good... Maggie is getting very good at holding her head up and she can sit up when you hold her. We weighed her, and she is now 10 lbs. 4 oz. and she is 26 inches long!

Maggie's friend

One of Maggie's favorite things to do (besides talking to her reflection) is to stare, smile and laugh at the little cardinal that hangs right above her on her play mat.

Girl's Night Out

Maggie and I went out for dessert with Merilee and Melodie (for Merilee's birthday). Maggie enjoyed the outing and was looking exceptionally cute.
